McCain is scary on Russia. He’s trying not to seem like a hawk but I bet he’ll meander to his actual opinion. Talking about Putin like this reminds me of the vilification of Saddam and Chavez and Castro. These guys always go personal with their foreign policy. He’s not giving any answers for HOW he would contain Russia and encourage human rights standards.

McCain doesn’t seem to agree with the commanders on the ground in Afghanistan. the Iraq strategies aren’t transferable. Patraeus said this.

McCain keeps telling us tht he knows how to do things like win wars and catch bin Laden but he never tells us how he will do this.

Obama is calling him out on his blood lust and that is GOOD. But I’m still not really on board with Obama re: Pakistan. I need to see more detailed changes in approach.

McCain is mixing up his tenses and countries. Get the support of the people is absolutely key but how is McCain suggesting we do that? Will we treat Zardari like we did Musharraf?

Good straightforward question about Pakistani sovereignty. Obama is convincing but he’s leaving out some major factors like the deaths of civilians and the problem this adds to winning hearts and minds so to speak. How effective are these raids? Not very so far. Oh so Obama has the same position as Bush on the peace treaties. That’s good to know. He says Bin Laden but we’re killing civilians there now in the raids that we are already doing!

McCain had an odd word order at the end there.
